Golf Wardrobe, Tried and Tested: Zella Live In Joggers
I’m sharing another favorite item from my golf wardrobe today: Zella’s Live In Jogger. I’ve mentioned before that when I started learning to golf, I wore what I had in my workout wardrobe. Most of those items were well-worn leggings, sweats, and tops.
I wanted to get some newer, not-too-expensive items that I could wear that would be good for playing golf and would get some wear in other parts of my life too, like weekend kid activities, hikes, and just hanging around the house.
I found Zella leggings through an online recommendation, and I bought a few pairs when my job shifted to work-from-home. I’d read that Zella had great, soft, comfortable options that held up over time. It was true, and I still have two styles that I bought in 2020 and still wear at least once a week.
I decided to try the jogger version of the pants I loved, and they are truly incredible. Zella’s Live In Jogger comes in sizes from XS – 2X and there are usually a decent number of color options. The elastic waistband is comfortable, the pockets are big enough to hold balls and tees, and while the pants are fitted through the leg, they are looser than leggings, which is the look I wanted. I think these look great paired with golf tops, hoodies, and pullovers. They’re made out of “Zeltek moisture-wicking fabric” which is very soft, keeps me warm on cool spring days, and is lightweight enough to keep you cool on warm days too.
This is not a sponsored post – I just really love these joggers. At the time of this post, they sell for $65 – I bought them during a promotion and they were a little less, but once I had one pair, I went back and bought two more. I have them in grey, navy, and black, and I’d love to add a pair or two in another color this year.
What I love most about these is that they wear extremely well – I’ve washed and worn these practically weekly for the last year – and they are extremely comfortable. They look great – they don’t stretch out, but they’re not skin-tight. I do wear them to golf in, and I also wear them frequently at home and on the weekends.
When you’re building a golf wardrobe, especially as a beginner, it can be hard to make an investment in a whole set of clothes you’ll only wear on a course. These are a great start for something that is versatile, durable, and stylish.
These are a great choice, especially for spring and fall golfing. In the summer, I’m usually in a skort or dress. But on cooler, windier days these are perfect. I like to wear these with some other workhorses in my wardrobe – I especially like them with my Nike running half-zip pullover. They always look sporty and great with any of the sneaker-style golf shoes I love, and I have definitely influenced a few golf friends to try them out as well.
Zella is a Nordstrom house brand, but you can find some of their items at Nordstrom Rack, along with Z by Zella, which is a sister brand. Zella has a whole range of activewear including jackets, shorts, leggings, tops and sports bras – all of which I’d definitely try some day. Zella also has men’s and kids’ lines as well.
